Valley Portable Restrooms is a family-owned business in Tanner, Alabama. This page explains what we collect through this website, why, and what we do with it. It is written in plain language on purpose — if anything here is unclear, call or text (256) 771-3612 and ask.

What we collect

When you request a quote. The quote form and the quick-quote tool ask for your name and phone number, and optionally your email address, the job site address or ZIP code, what kind of job it is, when you need units, how long for, how many, and how you would prefer to be contacted. We also record which page you submitted from, so we know what you were reading.

You choose what to put in those fields. Only a name and a phone number are required, because without them we cannot get back to you.

When you simply browse. We use Google Analytics, which sets cookies in your browser and records things like which pages you visited, roughly where you are (city level, from your IP address), what kind of device you used, and how you found the site. It is aggregate traffic information — it does not tell us who you are.

What we do not collect. We do not take payments on this website, so we never see card or bank details. There are no accounts and no passwords. We do not run advertising pixels or retargeting tags. We do not buy information about you from anywhere else.

What we use it for

Quote requests are used to quote your job and to contact you about it. That is the whole purpose. If you become a customer, your details are used to schedule delivery, service and pickup.

Analytics is used to understand which pages are useful and where the site is confusing, so it can be improved.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with other companies for their own marketing. We do not add you to a mailing list. If you give us an email address, you will get a confirmation that we received your request, and then you will hear from us about your job — nothing else.

Who else can see it

A handful of service providers handle data on our behalf in order to make the site work. Each one only gets what it needs:

Google — Analytics for traffic statistics, and Google Sheets, where quote requests are recorded so we have one list we can work from.
Vercel — hosts the website and keeps short-term server logs.
Resend — delivers the email notifying us of your request and the confirmation sent to you.

Beyond that, we would only hand information over if the law required it. Access to the quote list is limited to the people who run the business.

Cookies and how to opt out

The only cookies this site sets are Google Analytics ones, used to count visits and tell a returning visitor from a new one. Nothing on this site needs cookies in order to work — if you block them, everything still functions normally, including the quote form.

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. If you want to opt out of Google Analytics across every site that uses it, Google publishes a browser add-on for that at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. This website does not change its behaviour in response to those signals, because there is nothing for them to switch off: we do not track you across other websites, we do not run advertising or retargeting pixels, and we do not sell or share your personal information with anyone for their own purposes.

The only tracking here is Google Analytics counting visits to this site. To stop that, use the Google opt-out add-on linked above or block cookies in your browser — both work regardless of any DNT or GPC setting.

How long we keep it

Quote requests are kept as business records, so we can look back at what we quoted and when — the same reason any contractor keeps old paperwork. Analytics data is retained on Google's standard schedule.

If you would rather we did not keep yours, ask and we will delete it. See below.

Asking us to delete or correct your information

Call or text (256) 771-3612, or email Greg@ValleyRestrooms.com, and tell us what you want removed or corrected. You do not need to give a reason, and we will not treat you any differently for asking.

Depending on where you live you may have specific legal rights over your personal information — to see it, correct it, delete it, or opt out of its sale. We do not sell it to anyone. The rest we will do on request regardless of which state you are in, because it is simpler than checking.

Children

This is a site about renting portable restrooms for job sites and events. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, call us and we will delete it.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection, and quote requests are transmitted and stored through the providers listed above. No method of transmitting information over the internet is completely secure, and we would rather say that plainly than promise otherwise.

Changes to this page

If what we collect changes, this page gets updated and the date at the top changes with it.
